Lily Allen stopped by the 102.7 KIIS FM new music show, talking with DJ Skee about her new album ‘It’s Not Me, It’s You’ and its lead single ‘The Fear’, what new music she’s been listening to, her beef with Perez Hilton, and gave a shout-out to the livejournal group ohnotheydidnt. “He’s really obsessed,” Allen said of Perez. “He keeps trying to contact me.”
“It is good, great amazing,” Lily said about the album. “No, it’s kind of like a bit more, people had my last record, it’s a bit different musically. It’s kind of a bit darker, more electronic and a bit more thoughtful.”
On the concept and meaning of ‘The Fear’, she said, “The concept of the song, it’s about being a little disenchanted maybe with the way the world is, which some parts of the world are. Namely the obsession with celebrity culture and money and consumerism and fake tans and big boobs, that kind of thing.”
