Lindsay Lohan And Grant Bowler Discuss Lifetime Movie ‘Liz & Dick’

Lindsay Lohan talks about how she can relate to Elizabeth Taylor. Lohan is starring as the actress opposite Grant Bowler (as Richard Burton) in the Lifetime movie 'Liz & Dick'

Lifetime has released a trailer and actor commentary for the network’s upcoming original movie ‘Liz & Dick’, premiering November 25th. The Lloyd Kramer directed film stars as Elizabeth Taylor and Grant Bowler as Richard Burton, chronicling the headline grabbing couple’s relationship.

“‘Liz & Dick’ is about the tumultuous lifelong love affair of Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor,” Bowler says in the behind the scenes clip. “It was the start of the exploitation of celebrity. Lindsay is excellent to work with. She’s pretty much Elizabeth Taylor, reincarnated. Burton went to town on spoiling Elizabeth. They allowed each other to be enormous and big and larger than life. He was so taken with her.”

“The film arcs over their entire lives,” Lohan said of the film, “at how they had to go through life living in the public eye, and how that can tear people apart. I’m a huge Elizabeth Taylor fan. I relate to her on a lot of levels, living in the public eye and dealing with the stress of what other people say, whether it’s true or not. I personally understand Liz because you’re living your life for everyone to see, and people are growing with you. You get to a point where become numb to it, and you just live your live the way you feel you need to live it. I love diamonds, and (Elizabeth) appreciated them and it made her happy. No matter what happened, they always came back to each other. Richard was her one true love.”
