Madonna Inspires Randy Jackson With Ideas For Mariah’s Tour
During Randy Jackson’s appearance on ‘Larry King Live’ on Friday (May 26) with the ‘American Idol’ winner Taylor Hicks and runner-up Katharine McPhee, fill-in host and ‘Idol’ host Ryan Seacrest asked Jackson about being musical director on Mariah Carey’s upcoming tour. The ‘Idol’ judge provided an answer that has become red meat for Madonna fans who dislike Carey. “It means that arranging the songs, putting all the music together, rehearsing the band, putting the band together, the singers, the dancers, the whole kit and caboodle,” Jackson said of his role. “In fact, I helped greatly with the first two or three Idol tours of the kids that they’re going to go on this summer. So, you know, it’s kind of what I do. It’s like second nature for me because I played with her for so long and produced and wrote songs with her, so we’re like, you know, we’re like best pals so it’s like, you know, she thinks it and I’m going like ‘OK, I already got you.’ You know we were on the phone yesterday on a conference call for like four hours talking about the show because I had just seen Madonna’s show and I’m just, you know, got things rattling in my brain how we really want to make the show the hottest show on earth, you know.” Read more.

Madonna has taken ideas from Kylie, Britney, etc. So, what is wrong with other artist taking some samples of what works in a proven tour to engage in their tour. I say there is nothing wrong. Mariah is the best vocalist, however she has NO NO NO NO choreography skills. She could definitely learn dance moves from Madonna’s tour.
Well Jackson was inspired by the best so its only natural that he would want to use it for a woman who isn’t really known for her tours. However I think its sad that Mariah would go along with it.
You people need to learn to read. Randy just said that he saw Vadge’s show. He didn’t say that the show inspired him, as the title of this topic says. He simply meant he saw the show and is now trying to figure out out to make it hotter than Vadge’s (which won’t be hard).
Randy can only make Mariah’s show as good as Madonna’s if Def Jam has the budget spare. Madonna’s concert is very explosive & 1st class because Madonna is expected to be the Biggest Female Grosser ever. As for Mimi, producers will only spare a fraction of what Madge gets because she isn’t the concert legend like the rolling stones, U2 or Madonna. Though I wish Mimi will do decently we can’t really compare Madge with Mimi concert-wise.
let’s look at their last tours shall we Madonna’s re-invention world tour gross: 125 million(the highest grossing tour of 2004) Mariah’s Charmbracelet world tour gross: 30 million(had to be downsized to smaller venues because she wasn’t selling nearly enough tickets) and it was billboard that reports that Madonna’s new tour could gross 200 million(even if it doesn’t gross 200 million it will still make FAR MORE money than Mariah’s tour will) Mariah has never had a tour gross over 50 million…..and she never will
