Mariah Carey Charms… But Fails To Wow The Crowd

Jason MacNeil of the Toronto Sun was on hand for Mariah Carey’s concert at the Canada Centre in Toronto on Thursday (August 7). MacNeil says Carey “showed she can still deliver the goods with the one-two punch of ‘Subtle Invitation’ and ‘My Saving Grace’. Both songs earned the loudest ovations as she dug deep to hit some notes.” He added, “When Carey’s tour was initially announced, arena dates were relocated to smaller theatres due to slow ticket sales. The crowd and Carey would have been better served in a theatre setting.” MacNeil gave the show 3 out of 5 stars.

Fans who went to the show said it was AMAZING!

^^yup!!!!^^ I was there and that show was just RIDICULOUS!! Mariah is amazing! She (and Whitney) are the best singers in the world. She is stunning to look at, the shows circus like theme was such an innovative, cute, creative, and great idea! It was almost 2 hours-no opening act she didn’t even need it!! She is SO good to her fans, she worked the stage like no other, some songs were performed with such emotional there was not a dry eye in the house! And at the end she did an encore of Hero and she walked through the audience, touchings hands, giving hugs…shes the best to her fans, and her talent and inner and outer beauty is undeniable–haters will deny her out loud, but inside they know that its true

Oh, please Mariah Carey has got game!!!!! She’s hot and the kats are just following her everywhere. We love you Mariah!

So the real reason why they downsized the tour was because of ticket sales, She claimed it was because she wanted a more intimate setting. Once again she puts on a front, she would do a show via-satellite from the moon if they payed her enough…Money hungry failure.

^ ur calling the woman who has more #1 singles than any other female ever, can sing in 7 octaves, and has a WALL FULL of awards a failure? how ignorant.

i see you don’t like Aguilera either.. I guess you have something against women with REAL talent who can REALLY sing and who have REAL vocal ability.

even tho closed minded Americans don’t embrace her the way they used to.. MILLIONS and MILLIONS of people from other countries do.. that fact can’t be denied

  7. weebongo says:

It must be really depressing for Mariah to downsize her tour to pathetic little theaters like Debbie Gibson and other has-beens of the eighties are performing in.

  8. ktkins143 says:

yeah um honey…she performed at the Air Canada Theatre last night…that’s not downsizing at all! that’s a HUGE arena where the maple leafs and the raptors play!

  9. EyezCold says:

What is more pathetic, is the losers that come here to try to bash on Mariah because they can’t stand the fact that she’s delivering once again! Her album is doing good and she isn’t re-releasing Charmbracelet that was just a fake hoax to mislead all the stupid “Corps” that are out to destroy her career! LOL, Mariah had you fooled! POW!

even though I love Mariah and her beautiful voice. I must admit that her career has drifted somewhat away….especially from when first began. their are just ignorant people who only look at a persons image and not their talent. this explains why so many people praise Christina Aguilera…because she has the image and the talent. hopefully Mariah can see past this…her breakdown really took a toll on her career. and I hate to correct fellow fans but she only has a 5 octave range. but that it way more than the others. she was once the best and now she’s not even a household name anymore…you see what the music world has come to!

  11. ktkins143 says:

I thought it said 6 or 7 in the Guinness book…that can’t be wrong can it?

  12. weebongo says:

As much as Americans do not care about Mariah anymore the rest of the world cares about her even less. Her new album and singles have done so horribly bad in Europe, even worse than what it’s done in the US.

  13. HoneyRain says:

you’re wrong.. she DOES have a 7 octave range’, ‘not only have I read it in numerous articles.. but being a music student of many years.. it’s perfectly logical that she can sing in 7 octaves. you’re forgetting how low she can sing also. there are only 8 octaves and trust me.. the woman can hit 7 of them.

I heard that this concert was supposed to be really good, I would have like to go, but I went to the Justin Timberlake/Christina concert so I didn’t have any money, but I think Mariah has a beautiful voice and I’m sure she did a great job on stage, and fu** anyone who says different!!!! love always, JtsBabyGurl013181
