Mariah Carey Goes Over The Top And Delights Fans

Anastasia Pantsios of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reviewed Mariah Carey’s show at the Scene Pavilion Sunday night. Pantsios says the 18-song, nearly two-hour show featured five musicians, four backup singers, 10 dancers, eight costume changes, lots of stage props and video and, “of course, enough high notes to attract every dog in Cuyahoga County.”

I went to the MD show last nite, It was an interesting Stage Set Up, Kind of Like Janet’s Stage Set-up. Mariah Looked Great, She really gave her heart and soul on “Can’t Take That Away”, and she finally gave Eminem what her deserved (on CLOWN).but a few things were not on point she needed help up and down the steps too much (learn to walk in your shoes) and having her her stylist adjust her on stage was whack. Is she a robot? Over-all she sang beautifully, and it was a good concert. I just expected it to have more of an emotional impact. and it didn’t.

That is the feeling I get about Mariah too, is that there is something less than emotional in her performance. It seems that she does focus on the glamor stuff way too much. I don’t think she steps out of the house without her makeup in place.
