Mariah To Release Book

Contributed by Kizzardkid:

MTV News announced today that has signed a publishing deal to release a book. When asked by MTV correspondent John Norris during Total Request Live on Thursday if the book would be a memoir, Mariah replied with, “I think it’s a little early for that. We’ll just have to wait and see. If there is one, you’ll be the first to know.” Despite Carey’s answer, it is rumored that the book will indeed be a detailed account of her life and will include stories of childhood struggles and adult obstacles, as well as poetry. Publishing sources also note that music journalist David Ritz is attached to the project. Ritz previously assisted Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Smokey Robinson and B.B. King with their autobiographies.

This is great news!! Go Mariah!! Mariah Forever!! Crusader!

I highly doubt Mariah Needs money. About two years ago she got a huge check from Virgin of about 28 million dollars, then a few months later she signed a 20 million four year deal with Universal (Def Jam). That doesn’t sound like a person that needs money! Mariah Forever!!! Crusader!

So this is what it has come down to. Don’t get me wrong, I like her voice but a lot of times when someone needs (or wants) money, they write a book (Even people who are talented). Look at Jessica Simpson’s wedding planner book.

Unlike Jessica, I think its time for Mariah to put out a book, I would really like to see her story, I think it’s gonna be interesting.

We know that Mariah won’t be writing this book since she doesn’t have the obvious brainpower needed to do it. The only interesting part of Mariah’s life is when she got locked up in a mental institution. It would have to be an entire book on that cause who’s going to want to read the other beyond boring crap besides a few stupid lambs.

She got paid that money from Virgin because they wanted to get rid of her so badly from their label. They would have lost more money by keeping her on because her albums were bombing so badly.

Go away or better yet go jump off of a building or something. Your stupid comments are obvious and predictable, LOSER!! Mariah Forever!!! Crusader!

Why the f**k would Mariah need money you stupid moron. Mariah is a multi-multi-multi millionaire. She is filthy rich already. It good expand your empire instead of just doing one thing. Go Mariah!

She could need the cash. Who knows? Depends on her spending habits and investment smarts. People who’ve made more money that her have gone broke – look at Mike Tyson. But it could be that she is looking at the book mainly as a way to improve her image by presenting herself in a heroic light and maybe drumming up some public attention by dropping some “startling revelations”.

That’s not really true..when you think about it, isn’t EVERYTHING that we do for a living meant for us to make money when we want it. There are other ways to make money. Writing a book is NOT an easy way to make money, whether you are famous or not. I don’t think Mariah NEEDS money, she just wants to “write” a book. Most writers write a book for a reason, money is the last thing, if you’re truly writing a book for sentimental reasons. Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone, Natalie Cole, and so many others wrote books, and I’m sure that they didn’t need or want the money for it. But I know what you mean. But sometimes you have to look at what book they are actually writing. If Mariah is going to write some sort of memoir, then it must be a personal thing, not something that can easily be written quickly to put on shelves as soon as possible. Jessica Simpson writing her book in my opinion was just a ridiculous move, she probably did it for the money and to share her wedding experiences.

well if this books contains details of her relationship with Tommy Mottola that book would be a hit. I also hope she talks about her sister who said that she help Mariah getting where she is now . Mariah didn’t help her at all after that. her sister has aids. please Mariah show her some love!maybe her sister knows stuff about Mariah that we don’t know or should not know…

This is great! I have been wanting Mariah to publish a book for a long time now. At least it will have more truth to it than her other autobiographies. Mariah needs money? lol. Whatever man…everyone knows she’s set in that department and everyone knows that she is one smart businesswoman. And as for not being able to write? Where the hell have you been? Mariah is where she is today because of her writing. You people are in serious denial…get over it.

You have to be the dumbest lamb on here. When you’re making 28 million the government does take about half out for taxes. You must be in some special ed class for retard lambs. Everyone that works knows the more you make the more you pay in taxes and when you’re in the highest tax bracket almost 50% is taken out for taxes. But you wouldn’t know anything about tax brackets and percentages. Ask your 4th grade teacher about taxes and hopefully she’ll be able to educate you even though I doubt you will be able to comprehend what she is saying.

To the one that says that only when celebrities need money they write a book, so this means Madonna needs money!!!!!??????? I don’t think so, I used to work for a publishing company and a lot of celebrities will do autobiographies for other reasons not money. Also, Mariah can’t talk about her sister, it seems that her sister wants it that way and there’s even legal matters there and how can you say Mariah never helped Alison?????Mariah was the one supporting that kind when her mom took custody of Alison’s kid because of her AIDS and prostitution and drug habits………….some people have no clue what they are talking about. One thing I know, I’M BUYING THAT BOOK, IT WILL BE PRETTY INTERESTING TO HEAR WHAT SHE HAS TO SAY ABOUT MOTTOLA, JETER AND LUIS MIGUEL…
