Michael Jackson’s Thriller Suit On The Auction Block

Sothebys.com and Entertainment Rarities are auctioning off the suit worn by on the cover of Thriller, the largest selling solo album in history–having racked up sales of more than 56 million copies. The photographer who shot the cover has the suit… celebrity and fashion photographer Dick Zimmerman. The auction runs through March 1.

More Trouble For Michael Jackson & Sony

February 20, 2002 – Foxnews.com’s Roger Friedman reports Sony is pulling back plans for a commercial release of Michael Jackson’s ‘Butterflies’ and ‘Unbreakable’ will only get a European release. Combine the news that ‘Invincible’ looks unlikely to be in the top 50 albums this week, and many are speculating that Jacko will be dropped by Sony and they will call the $200 million loan by taking his rights to the Beatles song catalog. February 18, 2002 – Foxnews.com’s Roger Friedman reports Michael Jackson’s Heal the World Foundation ceased operations some time ago even though the charity held a fundraiser at Carnegie Hall a year ago. February 13, 2002 – Roger Friedman of FOX News talked about the charity single ‘What More Can I Give?’ that has never been released despite a wave of publicity and Michael bowing out of similar projects that did get released after the events of September 11. February 10, 2002 – WireImage.com has photos of Michael Jackson and pal Elizabeth Taylor at the Art for AIDS – A Tribute to Rock Hudson in Laguna Beach, California on Saturday.
