Musician Hears He’s Blue’s Duncan’s Dad

The Mirror spoke with Blue star Duncan James’ father Simon Roscoe – a man who walked out on Duncan’s mother and was stunned 20 years later when she phoned him, telling Simon the band that won Best Pop Act at the Brits had a member that was his son. “He’s done very well for himself,” Roscoe said. “He’s articulate and sensible. I am thoroughly impressed. His mother’s done a great job bringing him up. One day, maybe Duncan and I will be able to sit down and talk things through, but that’s for him to decide. I am proud of him – if I have a right to be.”

Blue Star Asks For The Mirror’s Help In Finding A Woman

June 1, 2003 – Blue star Duncan James tells The Mirror he still can’t find a woman. “You’ve got to start a campaign to find me a girlfriend,” he told the tabloid. “I can’t seem to meet any nice girls. The ones I meet want to talk about the band or want tickets to our gigs – it’s depressing and a real turn off. You have to help me. I’m fed up with being lonely.”

Pop Does Its Bit For Music Therapy

May 17, 2003 – Blue star Duncan James explained to Radio 1 what the money they raised at the Nordoff Robbins music therapy charity on Wednesday will be spent on. “It’s taken a whole year to organize and here we are today,” he said. “We’ve now opened up another center for Nordoff Robbins in Manchester which means that they’re gonna be able to reach out to hundreds and hundreds more patients with disabilities with autism, with illnesses that otherwise weren’t actually getting any treatment up in the north of England.”

Blue’s Duncan James Wants Kids

April 9, 2003 – The Sun reports Blue star Duncan James wants kids. He says, “My ex Claire’s my soulmate. She’s broody so I said I’d be the father. She cried and said ‘I’ll have your babies’.”
