New Album Success Critical For Britney Spears

USA Today’s Elysa Gardner spoke with readers in an online chat on Tuesday and was asked how important will Britney Spears’ new album be for her future in entertainment. “On a scale of one to ten? Fourteen,” she responded. “Well, that’s an exaggeration, but only a slight one. People have been writing career obituaries for Britney, and the whole bubble-gum pop wave she helped lead, since the release of her last album. If she’s going to stay relevant, she has to do well. It’s a shame, because she’s only 21, but I suppose that’s what happens when you get into show business at such a young age… But that’s a subject for another tirade.” Read more.

I agree. I’m very impressed with the results that she’s shown in this album. The hard work paid off for her.

People like N’sync Britney Spear Christina Aguilera and Pink are here to stay. Like it or not these people aren’t going anywhere unless they were to die in an accident but hopefully that won’t happen. I hope they all live long enough to die of old age.

Um, I’m probably the biggest MUSIC fan you will EVER find out in this big ole world…. I love to listen to it, I love to perform it, I love to get on the floor and get jiggy to it, I love to debate about it, hell, I’m going to school right now to learn all I can, and I will eventually TEACH it! It’s the most beautiful, expressive art form there is…… It’s the most powerful release that I MYSELF have! It’s so moving to people, whether in a good way or bad….. MUSIC is truly amazing, and without it, we’d all be insane…I really believe….. But this CD ISN’T music, and any MUSIC fan can see that clear as a sunny day! It’s crappy….by far Britney’s best effort, but crappy! It’s got slammin’ beats that make you wanna get up and dance, but that’s IT! And MUSIC is about WAY more than BEATS! BEATS can be produced by a computer…hell, isn’t that all techno is? Someone sat down to a computer one day and said “hey, I’m jacking around with this program and that sounds kinda tight…..I think I’ll try to sell it”…and the ***** caught on for whatever reason I’ll NEVER figure out! The MUSICAL quality of this album isn’t there…it lacks so badly! Like I’ve already said, the lyrics are lame, the vocals are crap, the melody is too simple, the harmonies are practically unsingable, cause again, THEY are simple too. Any TRUE MUSIC person would agree with me. It doesn’t have SOMETHING for EVERYONE…. It has NOTHING for a SELECT FEW (those who still choose to be her flock of sheep)!! If you like this album, I feel MORE sorry for YOU than I do for her.

The album is awesome, and all music fans will be driven. Its pop, rock, hip-hop, everything. Great diversity and great songs.

  6. Stallion says:

^This coming from someone who listen to the Backstreet Boys. You just lost every music fans respect in the world. Please you say you know a lot about good music but yet you listen to the Backstreet Boys. Right. You have no room to talk just because you can’t sing doesn’t mean you have to hate on Britney spear. YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT REAL MUSIC DUMBASS4BACKSTREET. YOU ARE NOTHING MORE THAN JUST A 14 YEARS OLD GIRL WHO LISTENS TO THE BACKSTREET BOYS AND ONCE YOU TURN 15 YOU WILL GROW OUT OF LIKING THEM

  7. breez says:

Oh get off your high horse. Music fans will NOT be driven. It’s soulless crap. Pop fans will be satisfied, but nobody is going to accept this as a serious attempt at hip hop or rock. She’s a joke.

  8. XChyaX says:

if Britney was as good as her fans say she is- she wouldn’t have to use controversy and her body to sell her music. since when is talent getting almost nude, messing around with guys that are married and being the biggest hypocrite? Only thing all those are is to get people talking, see can’t rely on talent. Good thing there are real artists that have talent.

  9. Fausto-A says:

Its a shame people put artists like Britney under such pressure. I can’t understand why some idiots choose to do this. But it obviously doesn’t matter since Britney has risen to the challenge and made a good album that will certainly be a commercial success.
