Extra caught up with Jessica Simpson and hubby Nick Lachey of 98 Degrees to talk about their upcoming MTV reality show ‘Newlyweds’. Jessica says while there are moments of tension, “You will see us madly in love.” And Nick remarked, “We’re newlyweds. We bicker about stupid stuff, we do things that the camera catches.”
Simpson And Guarini To Perform During Miss Teen USA
July 23, 2003 – LiveDaily.com reports Jessica Simpson will perform her single ‘The Sweetest Sin’ (from her forthcoming album ‘In This Skin,’ due Aug. 19) and ‘American Idol’ runner-up Justin Guarini will perform his single ‘Sorry’ during the Miss Teen USA 2003 competition. NBC will telecast the contest from Palm Springs, CA, on August 12th.
Jessica Simpson Wardrobe Choice Trashed
July 22, 2003 – A recent red dress worn by Jessica Simpson is getting trashed by Joan and Melissa Rivers. Joan says, “I think it’s very nice of her to wear the local kindergarten’s gluing project.” Melissa adds, “Your hit may be Irresistible, Jessica, but this getup is ridiculous. Hubby Nick Lachey could consider it grounds for divorce.”

^exactly what I was thinking.Why would you want to put your own personal marriage on television?It’s almost as stupid as the thing Brandy did when she was having a baby.
Why is it that whenever I see or hear Jessica and Nick – particularly Jessica – my teeth start to hurt unbearably??? All I can think of is pounds of cotton candy and being forced to eat the whole thing.
I don’t like them, I think he’s really gay.and she’s just too dingy to see it . I’m also very sick of them every time I turn on the TV or open a mag. I see them and his sick armpit rings. that’s sick and gross.
Can’t wait for their albums to flop!
I hope we don’t have to see them making out or touching each others asses. please. I read in the newspaper today that when artists start to lose their fame, they end up going on reality shows to rekindle that fame they once had. hehe…looks like that’s what they’re doing! I think nick’s a hypocrite. he dissed o-town before for “making the band” because they lived with cameras 24/7. well looks who is the hypocrite now nick!
I think this idea of them creating a show about their life and marriage is plain STUPID. First, it won’t be a big hit because there aren’t a lot of Jessica and Nick fans. Second, I can tell this show is all publicity to help sell both their albums. Third, other married stars would keep their marriage private because they have respect for themselves and that marriage is a sacred thing to them. Unfortunately, that’s not what Jessica and Nick are doing. grace

Who even cares about Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey? Yes, they are a cute couple, but with Jessica practically bragging about her marriage and her love life on TRL (maybe that’s why her new music video, The Sweetest Sin, hasn’t been on the countdown), I can’t help but be sickened by them. Watching them make out is just weird. Both of them aren’t even good singers. They are nothing compared to Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake (add your own fav. artist in here) and definitely don’t have the same popularity as them. A marriage should be something private and sacred, not an attempt to raise up the success they had lost.
