Record Sales Shouldn’t Matter So Much

Contributed anonymously:

I know all of you fans are very excited about the release of her new album, ‘In the Zone’, I am as well. I bought it the first day it came out and I have been listening to it ever since! I care less how many records she sold in one week. Why does it matter so much? I think some of you fans focus too much on records sales and numbers. Is it really necessary to be so aggressive about it? More than anything, you should be more humble. If she’s #1, you don’t have to bash the “haters” because they were wrong. It’s okay to have a victory, but wait until the numbers actually come in. If she’s #1, great, but the music should matter the most whether or not she becomes #1 if you are truly a Britney fan.

I agree record sells don’t mean anything when you look at the big picture. A lot of great CD’s weren’t big sellers. I give Britney props for this CD, it is really good.

I agree too, but it’s really not just Britney fans doing it. Sometimes it seems like a waste of time to even bother reading the comment section, but it is a good laugh if nothing else. I went to one store the CD was sold out, went into another store they had several copies left. Alot of cd’s were sold yesterday, maybe no so many will be sold today, who cares. The CD is good, that’s all that matters.

The only reason I want this album to sell well is because I want to prove the CRITICS wrong. And the haters too…but more the critics. People were saying that this album wasn’t going to do well at all. But to me…it’s DEFINITELY all about the music. :)

Oh please…we have every right to laugh at the haters, especially after they spent weeks saying she would flop. So if they can dish it out, we can too. But I agree, wait till the final numbers come in. And yes, the music does matter the most. This album is amazing. But if Britney debuts at #1, she will hold the record for the only female ever to have 4 albums debut at #1, and she deserves to be recognized for her hard work and all the great things that make her so amazing.

BRITNEYFREAK666: If you want to prove the CRITICS wrong by buying her album then you’re wrong. Sales does not matter to them. If it’s crap then it’ll always be crap. But saying IT IS crap is a little off. I downloaded the whole album and I’m giving it 7.5/10. While: ‘Britney’….4/10 ‘Oops I did…’……6/10 ‘BOMT’…..7/10

It just to prove the haters wrong, that she is not a flop, and that Brit is the only hope for Pop music.

  8. Xtina-Dirrty says:

That’s true! MUSIC should MATTER most! but the problem with Britney is that, she doesn’t know how to create good music!

  9. Hairul says:

Finally someone admits that sales don’t rate the quality of music. Why now then you mention about this issue? U Britney fans are preparing for the worst as the sales of In The Zone is sure to be a disappointment. So you try and confess that sales don’t matter when other artists have a not so good sales you slam them. Is this fair? Ask yourself.

I don’t really care if ‘In The Zone’ doesn’t sell well cause I know it’s a good cd, like ‘Britney’.. It would BE awesome if she sold LOTS n LOTS of albums to show all the haters, that she still has it and she’s not a flop… but that doesn’t matter!

I guarantee you this idiotic essay was made by a Britney hater who can’t stand that this CD is being so well received-get a life and quit obsessing over Britney she is here to stay so get it thru your thick skull!
