I’ve read someone’s post about his/her feelings about ‘Me Against the Music’ and I feel that since I have a different perspective, my word should come out. I don’t blame MadFan for disliking the song, everyone can’t like it of course. But I have to say, that I’m relieved that Britney came out with a different sound–different meaning compared to what’s out there right now. If you think about, how is the music going to change if the same old thing plays over and over, I’m talking about genre. I’m glad Britney didn’t come out as another ‘John Mayer’ or ‘Michelle Branch’ or 50 Cent or Justin Timberlake… hip hop and contemporary rock. It’s just getting old. You hear the same two genres over and over, and Britney comes out with a different sounding song. I mean I at least give her praises for not following in the steps of present acts right now. As for the song, I personally like it. I don’t love it, I don’t hate it. It has a great beat to me, and personally I like songs like this. I’m sick of hip hop and etc, I use to like it but now it’s like what pop was back then in 1999, being overplayed A LOT. That’s all I got to say, props to Britney and Madonna and moving on with her career more maturely without Max Martin.
