The Associated Press confirmed Ryan Seacrest will soon take over the radio program that disc jockey Rick Dees hosted for more than two decades at KIIS FM in Los Angeles. Seacrest will host the show from the same Hollywood studio he uses for his new syndicated live TV talk show, ‘On-Air with Ryan Seacrest’, and it will have the same title as the talk show. “I am honored and privileged to have the opportunity to become the host of the renowned KIIS-FM morning show,” Seacrest said in a statement later. “I am looking forward to returning to daily radio.” The full story at yahoo.com has since been removed.
‘Idol’ Talk About Next Year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show
February 9, 2004 – Officials at both Fox and the National Football League say it’s way too early to speculate about entertainment at next year’s Super Bowl, but according to several published reports, the idea of an ‘American Idol’ halftime show seems like a slam dunk, reports The New York Post. “First and foremost it’s always been the NFL’s decision, it always has been,” a Fox Sports spokesman said. An NFL spokesman said the idea for an ‘Idol’ themed halftime show is “beyond premature.”
