More troubles for the folks at ‘American Idol’, as this time co-host Ryan Seacrest was in a car accident this afternoon near the Sunset Strip area of Los Angeles. His rep tells Entertainment Tonight that Seacrest was uninjured but his Mercedes 500 SL was totaled. Seacrest says he was at a standstill when his car was rear-ended by a truck and pushed into the intersection. Seacrest has no plans on skipping his radio show duties or the one-year anniversary celebration of his show, ‘Live from the Lounge,’ with guests Sugar Ray.
EJay Day Predicts ‘American Idol’ Catfight

Jennifer love Hewitt and ‘Dog Eat Dog’ Brooke Burns (not Faith Hill as some had said) were there last week. And Tuesday night, comedian Wayne Brady was in attendance, while actress Selma Blair gave Nikki McKibbin a hug for good luck, plus ‘The Other Half’ star Mario Lopez.
Randy Jackson Says Christina Christian Should Have Stayed On
August 13, 2002 – Extra TV caught up with ‘American Idol’ judge Randy Jackson and the latest finalist to get the boot, Christina Christian. Randy commented on Christina’s controversial removal from the competition saying, “Nikki and R.J.’s performances weren’t as good. I think she should have stayed on. I don’t think she could have won the competition, but I think she’s talented. I think she’ll do well anyway.”
