Sandi Thom’s Spam Quid Pro Quo

The Times of London has discovered that Sandi Thom’s PR agency offered thousands of fans free copies of her album in return for their sending messages encouraging people to listen to the single through Quite Great PR founder Pete Bassett said MySpace has allowed “everyone to become a virtual record company” and his company employed “viral marketing” techniques to create a buzz around an artist.
