“Anyways, most of you guys are wondering what’s next for me,” she write.s “I can tell you, I AM working on a new album for your listening pleasure! There is a chance I could be going to Australia and Japan to promote ‘The Day Has Come’ there, but there is no official date set for that. I am writing new material for album number two and I can’t wait to share it with you all! Meanwhile, just sit tight and I will be doing random things a long the way. If you haven’t picked up a copy of ‘Your Prom’ magazine yet, go get it! It’s my first official cover and I’m super stoked about it.”

For all of you Canadians… ‘Mr. Beautiful’ is being released as a single soon… so request, request, request!”

A source tells Us Weekly during her MTV reality show’s wrap party on August 4th, Cheyenne Kimball was punched in the face by bassist Joey Clemente’s wife Michelle, who was upset about Cheyenne and Joey talking to each other at Guy’s in Hollywood. “She didn’t like the interaction, so she punched Cheyenne in the face,” the source revealed. “Cheyenne and Joey are friends, nothing more. The poor girl got assaulted at her own party!” Kimball’s mother Shannon then had the woman thrown out of the event, where she was later seen crying outside the hotspot. The 16-year-old’s rep told Us, “Cheyenne was caught in an unfortunate situation. She harbors no ill will.”

The Associated Press caught up with Cheyenne Kimball for a Q&A and asked the 16-year-old if she’s worried about being categorized with other young pop singers. “It is a worry of mine but it’s not like they are negative or anything,” Kimball said. “They just have a different thing than I do. Ashlee Simpson and Jessica Simpson and all of those girls have a different career than I want to have. I don’t want to be a flash in the pan. I want to be around for a very long time. I want to be like a Sheryl Crow or a Melissa Etheridge or even a Madonna with how her career has lasted so long and she is still respected in the music business. That’s really what I am aiming for. I’m not really looking for 15 minutes of fame.” Read more.
