Kate Voegele checked in with fans on her YouTube channel, documenting her trip from California to Las Vegas. She taped clips at a gas station, the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, outside Treasure Island, The Venetian hotel, driving along the Vegas strip, and back home in California. “I had such a great trip, definitely by far the best road trip I ever had,” Kate said. “I was really fun. Absolutely had a great time. Headed out to Laguna to do some work, work on a writing some new songs for record number three. Just finished up my first song for the new record in the studio.” Watch the update below.

Kate Voegele posted a new video where she played some of her new music and talked about preparing for the upcoming tour with Jordin Sparks as well as the upcoming eighth season of ‘One Tree Hill’. “I think it’s gonna be a cool song. Kinda fun. Right now I’m calling it ‘High Road’,” Kate said while playing the song. “It’s sort of about taking the high road. Thinking positive. Kate Voegele is out with some behind the scenes video from her trip to SXSW in Austin, Texas last month. “We recorded the video blog while in the back of a peddy cab and there are some clips from my Oakley showcase performance too,” Kate writes.

Kate Voegele talked with Vevo at SXSW in front of the Texas Capitol Building in Austin, Texas. The singer songwriter talked about the experience being part of the music festival, looking forward to having barbecue at Stubbs, enjoying the vibe and people’s passion for music, writing ‘Angel’ while on tour and what it’s about. “I had sooooo much fun in Austin this past weekend for SXSW,” Kate writes on her web site. “I performed in this Oakley showcase alongside Kelley James, Justin Jones, James Kinney, and Wendy Darling and it was great.” Watch the interview and performance below.

Kate Voegele and Mike Grubbs recorded a video for fans from the set of ‘One Tree Hill’ about their upcoming show at SXSW in Austin, Texas. Yahoo! Music is featuring two new live acoustic videos from Kate Voegele for ‘Inside Out’ and ‘Angel’, both off her second album ‘A Fine Mess’.
“These are especially awesome because we recorded them at Jack Johnson’s Solar Powered Plastic Plant, his ‘green’ eco-friendly recording studio in Los Angeles,” Kate said on her MySpace blog.

Kate Voegele asked fans to submit Valentine’s Day cover requests, and the singer selected ‘I and Love and You’ by The Avett Brothers, which was a song submitted by Elissaveta Marinova. “I am really excited about this contest. It was so fun you guys submitted some really awesome romantic songs,” Kate says in the video. “It’s hard to pick because some of them are some of my favorites.
