Talent Punctuates No-Frills Performance By Kelly Clarkson

David Lindquist of the Indianapolis Star reviewed ‘American Idol’ champ Kelly Clarkson’s concert at the Indiana State Fair on Friday night, giving it 3 stars. Lindquist says, “Her renditions of original songs topped the recorded versions found on her debut album ‘Thankful.’ And the 60-minute show relied completely on songs. No special effects, dancing or themes. Which isn’t to say the performance lacked personality. Clarkson, ever the girl next door, launched into a flurry of unscripted banter after her opening number.”

Kelly is likeable. But after 20 minutes, don’t you say to yourself…Dang, she sounds like REBA, or She sounds Like MARIAH, it gets to a point where, you say…Who is she, she sounds like everybody else. Is this real. Trust this..I know she did not sing for an hour live….I’m sure that joint was mad lip-syncing. But, Kelly is likeable, she seems like a down-home chick. That’s what works.

Something about Kelly Clarkson on the first American Idol shone a golden ray of charm through her personality, which is quite as refreshing and breathtaking as her voice. When I first heard her sing, I was like “WOW,” not only because she had a great strong voice, but a big personality that’s so real. But as fame capsized her, I noticed that her voice was somewhat harsh in her live concerts, where instead of “WOW” it’s “HUH?” It didn’t make me lose my judgement of her. Sometimes I just wonder how far this American Idol can go. I mean, sure, she has a long long way to go to become a professional artists, but for some reason, I believe that these people from American Idol will eventually fade into obscurity. The Fox network is mainly trying to find someone who has “the whole package”, in hope to at least get fame and fortune from the person. But does anybody believe that these people in American Idol are going to be recognized as true artists, yet alone stay long enough to live up to their title? I believe that they will get their fame for awhile, earn the recognition they deserve from their hard work, and will catch many hearts for their loveable persona, but eventually, their fame might die down. Because after all, the music business doesn’t take too many artists seriously, it’s always about the image more than the music, and especially artists that got their chance in the biz on a popular TV show, who knows?

How would YOU know that she lyp~synch’d?! ~The people who usually lip~synch are the performers who dance a lot …(Madonna, Janet, Britney..etc).. who aren’t really ALL that great of singers, but great performers… (uh oh.. here comes the hate mail!!) Kelly Clarkson has NO reason to lip~sync! She’s not a dancer, and she has an incredible singing voice!~

I have actually noticed Kelly’s voice getting worse the more famous she gets. Its probably because she’s been around so many places that she can’t get any sleep,so that’s probably the reason.

Kelly Clarkson is a bland boring singer. She is very hard to take for 15 minutes, never mind 2 hours. All she does is screech and holler. No wonder she’s already reduced to touring sate fairs.
