It’s a shame how so-called “writers” put lots of time just writing bullsh**. See the 2 articles that dissed Mariah Carey are the best example. Before I would love reading newspapers, and articles because I believed, if it’s in print well then is true. But how wrong was I? I was very (3x’s) wrong. I just have to be careful with the things I read. I shouldn’t believe something just because it is in print, but with now thousands of CARELESS “writers” whom just prefer to get a check coming their way they don’t care what they write. They don’t seem to care who they hurt. All they care about is themselves. Mariah Carey is a proud, beautiful, and very special person in my life. She’s my inspiration. So it hurts me when I do read lies in print.
Something I have noticed is that the media has a “love-hate” relationship with her. They love her when she breaks the Beatles record for ‘Most Number 1’s’ they praise her. Tell her she’s the best! (and she IS!!!), but when she had her physical exhaustion the media had a great field day. This is when they love to hate her. That’s just wrong. Someone’s health should never be made fun of because that’s just evil. I’m sure if you get sick you wouldn’t like the whole world to make fun of you. Now would you? So I guess I’ll end this with these two little quotes:

You know I love Mariah, I think she’s the best and I will support with with all that she does, but please people, stop with these posts, I have nothing against you Monarc, but its just getting old.
Did everyone see the new Billboard Album chart. If you didn’t go to billboard.com to see were The Queen of Flops new album is on the list. I’m not going to write the number because it’s to funny everyone has to see for themselves what a mammoth drop The Queen of Flop took on the chart in only her second week. You’ll get a major laugh when you see the number. This is The Queen of Flop’s worst performing album and the biggest drop she has ever had on the billboard album chart.
Are all you retard lambs going to have a celebration for the Queen of Flops biggest album failure ever. Number 80 on the Billboard charts in just her second week. .wow who would of thought she would have such a monstrosity of a drop. Even Jessica Simpson and old washed up hags like Bette Midler & Barbra Streisand are ahead of her. This is the type of things you lambs love to celebrate, all of The Queen of Flops many failures.
Yeah its just the worst, I mean that’s such a flop.’, ‘Are you stupid or something? That’s pretty good because this album had no promotion or anything, it had no singles and hardly anyone even knew that this CD was coming out. And for a “hater” you seem to be really obsessed with how good or bad Mariah is doing. You probably own like every single CD of hers, or something. Punk!
You guys might think it’s cruel to say the number on here. But I really don’t care, so after debuting at #26 which everyone thought was so great, she dropped to #80 and just to give you an idea of how bad this is Mandy is like #14 and I don’t even believe she sold more than maybe 100k so from 14 to 80 that’s a 66 number difference so let’s say Mariah might have sold about 5k, that’s sad, even for her. (just when you thought it couldn’t get worse) Oh well, she should just move to Alaska and train sled dogs in her Manolo’s and leave with whatever little bit of dignity she might have left.
I agree with monarc20. There is a love-hate relationship with Mariah and the media, but it just comes with the package. They were loving J-Lo and now even the media is getting so sick of her that they NEVER talk about her accomplishments but how many men she’s been with and how long it will last. We as fans should take Mariah’s example and not wasted our precious energy getting upset, talking about it giving it any importance and even RESPONDING TO ALL THE LOW LIVES HATERS IN THIS BOARD, we are not going to be the ones to make them stop, they will stop when they get tired of it. Mariah will always be the icon she is, whether people like it or not!!, that’s the fact we should go by. Forget them, who cares what they think, since when have haters become so IMPRESSIVE! PLEASE!
Actually, For all you people who can’t say that The Remixes was the worst flop in pop culture history enough…Mariah’s Greatest Hits sold worse than The Remixes. It debuted at #52 and I believe in the second week had dropped out of the top 100. That CD of course was released by Sony and just like the Remixes had very little promotion and no singles etc. You can’t compare a remix album that’s being released only contractually by a former record label to other artist’s studio albums.
I think Mariah should consider returning to singing ballads and adult contemporary pop. She should enlist some great songwriters and great producers and change her sound. She’s not finding success right now in hip-hop; that area is dominated by other singers. The songs she’s been writing aren’t so stellar. If she’d let some other professionals help her take a new direction, I think she can regain some of her chart dominance like she had in the 90s.
Actually, she sold 46,000 copies in the first week. I don’t know why people are making this out to be something it isn’t. It’s not a new album, and on top of that, no one really supports anything Columbia releases (concerning Mariah). So, I don’t really take this to heart. She’s still a good seller, and a good performer. That’s all that matters.
I like Mariah Carey a lot! There is nothing wrong with her at all! I think the “Critics” Better get their d.a.m.n. act together! Mariah is almost up there with the Beatles! I mean, Geez, She’s been a fighter and she never ever gave up, because, she’s not like that! YOU GO MARIAH!
