‘We Are Family’ Under Boycott

Accoridng to the New York Post, the Nile Rodgers remake of We Are Family which Britney Spears and *NSYNC are scheduled to take part in is facing controversy as Joan Rivers has mounted a boycott of the idea she originally was set to help sponsor.

Rivers told the Post that WTC victims would get nothing in the effort but instead the proceeds would go to educate Americans about racial intolerance.

Rivers blasted, “I’m just in shock. It’s a bait and switch, and no one knows it.”

While saying she personally isn’t intolerant of Arabs or Muslims, she thinks “now is not the time for that.”
