Okay, I have read a lot of opinions that have been posted simply to hate on either Christina Aguilera or Britney Spears. And the lesson there is that Christina haters think she sleeps around and dresses badly, has a horrible image and does not have the record sales of pop stars like Britney Spears. Britney haters say that she has an awful voice and no respect from the industry. Haters of both think that they have just been given everything, and don’t deserve to be where they are today.
Then there are also many opinions that we should all just get along. The lesson there being that both Britney and Christina have earned a certain amount of respect (be it in record sales or in awards) and are both excellent musicians.
And then the few (that I completely agree with) that say one should not even compare the two because they are totally different singers with different styles targeted towards different audiences.
Now the one thing all of these opinion essays seem to have in common is that no matter what someone writes, it will always turn into people posting the same comments that they have posted following every essay, gossip, picture, humor or news piece.
So I get that if you hate Christina that will not change and if you hate Britney that will not change. If you love them it won’t change and if you think they should not be compared it won’t change.
But my question is to the haters in particular. (Especially the Christina haters as they seem to REALLY be angry at this girl they have never met, Britney haters seem to go after the voice more, but you guys really go after her personally). What is it about them that drives you so crazy? What could they have possibly done to get on your nerves so much? To make it impossible for you to just not comment and leave them alone, but find the need to attack them time and time again?

Agree with you 100%. People attack for no reason behind it. I’m a fan of Britney, but I don’t bash Christina saying she is a slut, whore, ***** and all that, and it’s obvious she has a voice that Britney doesn’t have. I’m not going to deny that and no Britney should. And for Britney, she is a great performer and more of it than a singer. Christina fans don’t deny that she doesn’t know how to dance and she isn’t a great performer.
I don’t wish to “hate” them. But since they have been in the media much of the time their are times when they say and do things I dislike that’s all. Personally, I think the media was all ready “starting something” with these two before they became popular.

I am a Britney fan. And what I bothers me about Christina is her personality. Her “holyer (sp)than though” approach really bothers me. I was really starting to like her until she made those comments about Britney and Beyonce, so that is why I don’t like her. However, if you look around at other topics, I don’t hate on Christina as much as I defend Britney. I HATE all those immature fans on this site (you know who you are). You know, the ones who are so stupid the best insults they can come up with are “Britney” or “*****ney.” Same goes with all those who call Christina a slut. I come to this site for Britney news, but it pisses me off when I see all these losers posting on the Britney stories when they clearly don’t like her. I NEVER go to Christina topics unless Britney is involved. It really annoys me, and I wish people would just stick to topics on the artists they like. PS. I loved the essay. I really would people would just not comment, like you said. Good job. Sadly, I know some of the people here are too stupid to change.
I hate how Christina bitches all the time, disses other artists who are way better than her, her bitterness towards Britney and how she thinks she is an artist or whatever. Now her music, I do think she has a good voice but I don’t like it. 50% of all her performances she over-does her voice, which is quite annoying. I don’t like her music either because it’s kinda boring and not that good. The only reason why I hate on her a lot is because of her fans. Most of her fans are just too stupid to realize she is not PERFECT nor is GOD.
I love Britney and I love Xtina, but Xtina’s fans on this site are the worst. They are the most immature people on the planet. They’re so bored with their lives that they come on this website just to read something that’s going to upset them and forces them to make some kind of stupid comment. The lame nicknames like Britney and Britney Sperms are so elementary it’s not even funny. And the insults towards Britney are pathetic. First of all, it’s kind of hard insulting someone who’s 100 times more successful than the person you say you worship. Second of all, the constant Britney name calling looks terrible for Ms Aguilera because it makes her fans look like immature, teenybopper idiots, but after she insulted the very person who opened the door for her career, I’m thinking she’s not the brightest bulb in the lamp either. I agree. Xtina’s fan are worse on this site, but Britney has bad ones too. Just…’, ‘…take pride you aren’t one of those bad ones. And all of the people you mentioned I agree with.
