May 13, 2007 – The New York Daily News reports that when Vanessa Minnillo got on stage to introduce Jackson Browne on Thursday night at the Event to Prevent show, she gave a pitchy rendition of ‘Running on Empty’ as her boyfriend Nick Lachey looked on. “As you can hear, I’m not getting a recording contract any time soon,” she told the crowd. “I was singing [‘Running on Empty’] in the car on the way over, and Nick told me to stop [singing] and leave it to the man himself.”

May 11, 2007 – Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo had a run-in on Friday night at a pre-Kentucky derby party.
