Reading & Leeds Were Amazing For Soft Toy Emergency
Soft Toy Emergency checked in with fans on their blog at MySpace on Thursday (September 3) after performing at the Reading and Leeds festivals last weekend. The Liverpool electro pop act write:
PHWWWWOOOOARR. Last weekend was… well it was amazing. We broke our Leeds/Reading virginity as performers and it wasn’t too sore the following day.
So… on the Friday, we got picked up from our gafs in a gold van driven by the legendary Chris at CIR. Travelling in style… just a wee bit! We were also joined by the legendary Dougie who solved many a soft toy emergency over the weekend.
When we got on site, the whole place was buzzing, like a beehive on pro-plus. We had some interviews to do; and caught a bit of Them Crooked Vultures before our set. Our stomach-caterpillars evolved into butterflies as we were approaching our stagetime on the BBC Introducing Stage. To calm the nerves we wrote ourselves an immediate prescription of vodka and coke - definitely seemed to help.
