“This is the fourth album, which is absolutely mental,” Leigh-Anne Pinnock explained. “‘Shout Out to My Ex’ is all about getting over your ex. Us girls, together, just on this really cool road trip, and we’re going to these different places and just causing havoc and having fun and being the best friends that we are.”

Perrie Edwards added, “It’s like an anthem for everyone who has an ex girlfriend or an ex boyfriend. It’s not a sad breakup song, it’s like a happy one, which is amazing. I think it’s a song that everyone in the world can relate to and that’s why we love it so much.”

Katy Perry is out with the video for her new single ‘Rise’, a track the Santa Barbara, California pop singer did for NBC’s television coverage of the 2016 Summer Olympics. Perry said of the song:

I can’t think of a better example than the Olympic athletes, as they gather in Rio with their strength and fearlessness, to remind us how we ALL can come together, with the resolve to be the best we can be. I hope this song can inspire us to heal, unite, and rise together. I am honored that NBC Olympics has chosen to use (‘Rise’) as an anthem before and during the Rio Games.
