Rachel Farris Insists Music Trumps Sexy Image

Upclosemusic.com recently caught up with for a Q&A and asked the singer what her opinion is on the music industry today, with the hype being more focused on the image of being sexy, rather than the actual music. “It’s sad to me. I wish I could be friends with all those girls and remind them to wear more clothes,” Farris said. “I think it stinks how easy it is to get caught up in the industry with the execs telling them what they need to do to sell more records or when they see how it works they want to do it on their own. I would rather not be a singer/songwriter if it means you can’t sell enough records to put food on the table without exposing yourself to do it. That’s when I quit!”
