The Chicago Sun Times spoke with Emily Osment in a brief Q&A about her debut EP and wrapping up ‘Hannah Montana’. Asked whether her co-star on the Disney show gave her advice with her new music career, Emily responded, “I didn’t ask for advice about music from anyone down on the set because there would have been all kinds of questions about ‘Why are you not going with Disney?’ ‘Why with Wind-up [Records]?’ I wanted this label because I wanted to be on an indie label and [break out] the music the way most new bands do, by playing grungy clubs and pizza palaces, and that’s exactly what we did.”
