Take That’s Mark Owen Discusses ‘What Do You Want From Me’
Take That talked about tracks on their new album ‘Progress’, in this clip the song ‘What Do You Want From Me’.
“My wife [Emma Ferguson] had gone away for that week, and she went away to a spiritual place,” Mark Owen explained about the song he contributed lead vocals on and was primary songwriter. “I was at home and I suppose when you’re on your own and thinking about your life, the song came out and I was really worried. It came from an insecurity, the song initially. She’d find herself out there and half-way she’d come back and not want to be with me. That’s where it initially came from. It was just a chance to be honest on the record and just be really open, and I wanted to be the person she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.”
