BC Jean Discusses Influences, ‘Talent’ & Maxim
BC Jean caught up with Young Hollywood at Sundance earlier this year, where the pop singer talked about being influenced by artists like Steven Tyler, Guns N’ Roses, Queen and Blondie, the inspiration behind the Beyonce hit she wrote with Toby Gad - ‘If I Were A Boy’, starring in the ‘Talent’ show on Alloy TV, the support she’s received from fans on Twitter and having a great time during her sexy Maxim photo shoot after taking a shot.
On having a voice like Pat Benetar and Janis Joplin and who her influences are, BC said, “Definitely those poeple. I’m a big Steven Tyler fan. I love Aerosmith, Guns N’ Roses, I love Journey, Queen, Blondie, Alanis Morissette, No Doubt, it goes on and on.”
Discussing the inpiration behind ‘If I Were A Boy’, she said, “Oh, boys, ex-boyfriends. I date the wrong guys for the right reasons.”
Asked if she had crazy fan/stalker stories, she said, “I haven’t met any, I don’t think. If I do, maybe there’s a room with crazy pictures. No, it’s Twitter, my fans have been nothing but supportive and I’ve been appreciative of any kind of fan I get. It’s really difficult right now, the music industry, so having support from anywhere you can get it is amazing.”
