Britney Spears Lacks Spunk, Pink Is Invigorating

Arjan Timmermans of Southern Voices reviewed Britney Spears’ new album ‘In The Zone’ and Pink’s ‘Try This’. On Spears, Timmermans said, “Overall, ‘In The Zone’ lacks spunk. It’s like shooting a loose cannon. There is lot of noise, but no substance - and worst of all, no voice.” As for Pink, he says, “Pink’s ‘Try This’ is invigorating in both style and substance and will easily pass for one of the most noteworthy records of the year.”

She should be thankful that there is no voice on Britney’s CD. she sounds like a dying cat parade…. or a duck having orgasm. OMG. I am SO funny. thank you, thank you all

for a moment I thought he said “Try this” was the most NET-worthy record…meaning its just worth downloading….lol. as for Britney’s album……hes 100% right. its just a cacophony of scrambled noise.

Just another critic’s opinion. You know, If I was a recording artist, I wouldn’t really give a damn what the critics said about my music, as long as the fans like it. And I’ve only heard good things about this album from old and new fans. So, who cares.

Britney you are going in flames.400 bad reviews against 10 good ones? Britney start practicing your new lines. (Would you like a apple pie with that Big Mac ?)

Well I’m not a huge fan of Britney but you’re right, it doesn’t matter what the critics say, so long as her fan base is happy with her new album that’s all that really matters, critics tend to like a certain type of music, usually something different and unique and Britney is not that, her sound is very commercial, but that is fine because it appeals to her fans, half of her music is to dance to and the other half is designed to stick in your mind so you can’t stop singing it, catchy and makes you smile….anyway I think this album was her trying to break free from that….but it’s not easy to escape stereotypes

Not even her fans like Britney’s album. they just force themselves to listen to it and pretend they like it because they’re so obsessed with her and can’t imagine not liking her. poor old Britney. every review is just crapping all over her lately. must burn even more to know that every critic is fawning over Christina as usual…not least the FIVE Grammy nominations. oh well.

‘Try This’ is an awesome album! “…invigorating in both style and substance…” very true!

I so agree with you…Try This is full of personality. I think maybe Trouble wasn’t the best choice for the first release, because the rest of the CD is nothing like that song…so, I think it can be misleading of how awesome this CD is. I hope it will do better on the charts at some point, because I think it would be a shame if people didn’t get to hear how talented this girl is. And not only that…It’s not all about making hit songs…it’s about growing as an artist…growing musically and vocally, which I think she does on Try This.

  9. yeahillbethere says:

Yeah, absolutely! And for future singles, I think she can do no wrong, but I would love to see her release Humble Neighbourhoods. I think it would do great as a single. As much as I love Unwind, it’s like one of those songs you don’t want to be release cause it might not be as special anymore, if you know what I mean. I actually don’t care much for chart positions much, but Try This really should be rotating in more people’s cd-player! It’s a great album that shows just how much an artist can grow musically, artistically, lyrically (etc) since her debut. I really wish more people could see how talented she really is, like you said, cause she definitely deserves more credit as a singer and songwriter than she does.

You are so ignorant.. and every critic is not “fawning over Christina”. I’ve seen a lot of bad reviews for her albums and performances to, nitwit.

  11. AliciaMoore says:

nicely put’, ‘I agree, should have added that before too…not gonna go further than that, because when it comes to talking about the ignorance and stupidity of that cultureless society of cheap, ugly, obese people I tend to go on and on
