Camera Obscura Sign New Record Deal With 4AD
Carey Lander of Camera Obscura checked in with fans on the Glasgow indie pop group’s blog at MySpace (@cameraobscuraband) on Wednesday (January 21), revealing that they’re on a new label. Lander tells readers:
We would like to share with you that we are now signed to somewhat smashing record label 4AD. We are understandably excited about this but will endeavor not to reflect this in our facial expressions so as not to cause unnecessary alarm.
We’d like to thank Merge and Elefant who have been our main labels for the past few years and have been lovely and excellent. We are most grateful for all their hard work and for their being good people.
There is lots of work going on behind the scenes and we will soon be telling you when the new album is coming out and when we are going to play some shows and all sorts.
Chin up.
