‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ is a new 13-part genealogical series in which well known Canadians go on a journey to discover their family history. It airs this fall on CBC Television, launching Thursday, October 11 at 7:30pm. is one of the thirteen stars who took part and blogged about it at her MySpace (@chantalkreviazuk). “I was moved to tears on several occasions already in this process,” she writes. “Learning about what my grandparents and my great grandparents went through, to try to make a decent life for themselves… only to get to the promise land Canada, and endure more disparity and struggle… essentially their dream to make life easier did not come until a few generations later, for me… and I was so humbled by this. Never in my life have I believed more that all that we are has everything to do with where and when we are born. Our circumstances play such a massive role in who we are, who we become, and essentially what our opportunities are in general.”
