Gov. Schwarzenegger Comments On Paris Hilton’s Prison Sentence

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger visited ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’ last night and had the following conversation regarding ’s impending 23 day prison sentence:

Jay: I want to ask you about the problem that I think most of America is most concerned about now. And this seems to be an issue that has just literally gripped the country. Will you pardon Paris Hilton?

[ Laughter ]

Arnold: Most Americans want to know this.

Jay: Yes, yes. Have you been approached? I mean it seems like I keep hearing —

Arnold: She — now, this is crazy, because, I mean, I’ve heard from
somebody that she said to somebody that she’s not even a a fan of mine. I mean — I think, apparently, she has never seen any of my movies. [ Laughter ] No, in the meantime, I have seen all of hers.

Jay: Really?

[ Laughter ]

Arnold: Absolutely. I mean, obviously, we both do action movies.

Jay: Right, right. Exactly, yes.

[ Laughter ]

Arnold: That’s very clear.

Jay: Yours don’t have quite as much action, but yeah. Yeah.

[ Laughter ]

Arnold: I know, but I mean — no one has approached me yet. No, but I heard a lot about it and read about it. Yes, exactly.

Jay: Well, a more serious issue —

Arnold: That is very serious.

[ Laughter ]

Paris Hilton’s Jail Stint Cut

May 23, 2007 - Jay Leno joked during his Tonight Show monologue on Monday night, “As I’m sure you know by now, Paris Hilton’s jail sentence has been cut from - what was it? - 45 days to just 23 days. Do you know why they did it? They felt 45 days was not fair to the other prisoners. … Paris - she’s not even going to be in the regular jail. She’s serving her sentence in what they call a ‘special needs housing unit.’ Well, you didn’t expect her to be in the cell block for gifted prisoners, did you?”

Paris Hilton Not Going Quietly

May 23, 2007 - David Letterman joked during his Late Show monologue the other night, “Paris Hilton is going to prison. But she is not going quietly. Earlier today, she led police on a low-speed chase through Bloomingdale’s.”
