Herbie Hancock Teams With Christina Aguilera On New Album
Herbie Hancock spoke with liveDaily about teaming up with Christina Aguilera on his new album ‘Possibilities’. “Wow. I knew she could sing. I knew she could really sing. But I didn’t know she could sing like that,” Hancock said. “She knocked me out. She did her first take and I said, ‘Well, you nailed it.’ And she said, ‘Oh, no, no, no, that was just a scratch vocal.’ I said, ‘What? That sounds like a keeper to me.’ Her intonation was so perfect, I mean, not a flaw in it at all.”

Christina definitely has the purest and most powerful voice in the industry. No doubt about it.
This is a good match up Herbie is one of the best jazz pianist around, can’t wait to hear this combination.

When rumors about Xtina making a jazz influenced album first surfaced, I had some doubts. I always thought she had a great voice, but seemed to lack the discipline necessary for music of any great sophistication. But if she can impress Herbie, she has obviously been taking this seriously and has her sh*t together.
