Justin Guarini Dumped Following ‘Idol’ Power-Play
Wondering why ‘American Idol’ runner-up Justin Guarini didn’t appear on last night’s ‘American Idol Christmas’? Star magazine reports he refused to appear on the program, upset that he didn’t get the support for his record from RCA. “Justin feels his album was left to languish,” an insider told Star magazine. “He’s disappointed over the lack of success he’s had in the wake of the show.” Guarini’s power-play appears to have backfired though, as Simon Cowell revealed to Us Weekly he’s been dropped.
That’s what happens when you get greedy. He was extremely lucky he got as far as he did.
His was the only album and single to bomb out of all the idols. It must be hard for Justin to be the only flop idol so far. His ego must be crushed.
Wow first Nick Carter album flop and he got drop for his label and now Justin Guarini album flop and he got drop. His movie from Justin to Kelly got better promotion and he didn’t have a hit to get a buzz on his album. Kelly did with Miss Ind.
That’s a shame. his CD (well the songs I downloaded) were really good, especially his single, Sorry.
That stinks…I was disappointed to not see him on the show last night. I actually didn’t even watch it since I saw he wasn’t there.
Was his duel with Kelly Clarkson, which was in their movie (I cannot think of the name of the song), released as a single? It may have sold well had it been. It was a beautiful song. They did not market Justin properly. I am sure he’ll be picked up by another label. He will be OK…well, if he quits getting involved in frivolous lawsuits.
Good thing Tamyra was there cause that show was a zzz fest. RCA/19 did not promote Justin and like any album not supported it didn’t do as well as it should have. But he has impressed many people where he has appeared and now that he has dumped dead weight he can do his thing. I hope that he goes to the premier of THE SIMPLE LIFE with his friends Nicole Ritchie and Paris Hilton.
Elperro1 - Nick Carter’s album didn’t flop and he’s not been dropped by his label…I’d advise you to get your facts straight before you talk about things beyond your intelligence.
