Little Boots: ‘Pop Idol’ Gave Me A Thicker Skin

Little Boots spoke with Look magazine about how she was rejected by Simon Cowell on ‘Pop Idol’ before her recent rise to fame. “I got to the third round of ‘Pop Idol’ and was kicked out,” said the 25-year-old, whose real name is Victoria Hesketh. “Simon wasn’t very kind. But it helped give me a thicker skin in dealing with people. I swiftly realized that shows like ‘Pop Idol’ are no short cut to the top.
