Pia Toscano Promises Edgy, Soulful Album With Great Collaborations

Pia Toscano spoke with the Houston Chronicle about selecting ‘This Time’ as her first single and what fans can expect from the ‘American Idol’ season ten finalist on her debut album. “Yes, I love to sing ballads, but I really just did what I needed to do to stay on the show,” Pia explained. “I feel like people don’t really get that we have themes every week, and there are songs on lists that we’re choosing from. The most important thing was being a strong vocalist to me. Before I came out here, I wasn’t doing lots of ballads. But this album is going to be edgy. It’s going to be soulful. It’s going to be powerful, fun, with lots of great collaborations.”
