Shapeshifters Deny Rachel Stevens Top Single

Former singer has been denied the top spot in the singles chart by a dance track. ‘Lola’s Theme’ by the Shapeshifters, which is already a huge hit on the club scene, entered at number one. It pushed Rachel’s ‘Some Girls’, which is the official song of Sport Relief 2004, into the number two slot. Stevens has recorded a version of the 1976 hit ‘More More More’ for Sky’s soccer coverage next season. Rachel, who performs the track with 200 extras in a virtual stadium, justified the signing saying: “I’m an Arsenal fan. I know the off-side rule and lots of the chants.”
