Simon Cowell Says Paula Abdul Is Like A Dachshund
Simon Cowell visited ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’ on Monday night, defending his behavior on ‘American Idol’, including his “shut up” remark to fellow judge Paula Abdul. “Well, it gets to a stage. How can I compare this? What do you call those sausage dogs? You know, the long dogs with the little legs — Dachshunds. You know they always grab hold of your leg. They hump your leg. And you just kind of go along, ‘Shut up!’ That’s what it’s like working with Paula. She’s like — like on my arm like a dog, and I’m trying to say something constructive. And it’s like, ‘Paula, shut up.’ And so she left.” Cowell then said Abdul “wants me” and said, “If she begged, I’d consider it.”
Heavy Rain In LA
March 4, 2006 - Jay Leno joked during his Tonight Show monologue on Friday night, “Boy, didn’t it rain? I’ve never seen — the houses, everything was flooded. On the way to work, Britney Spears baby passed me on a a jet-ski without a life vest! Unbelievable. … I tell you it was pouring hard, people are more sloshed than Paula Abdul. It was unbelievable! Did you see that last night?! What was going on? I don’t want to say Paula Abdul was incoherent, but even Anna Nicole Smith was going, ‘What’s she saying?’ Remember the old days when Paula was just sleeping with the contestants? Now she’s drinking with them, I think.”
Paula Abdul Involved In Airport Security Breach
March 3, 2006 - Paula Abdul was in Las Vegas on Thursday, scrambling to make it back to Los Angeles for the live telecast of ‘American Idol’ later that evening. Then, as Abdul was running late for the Southwest Airlines flight, fans compounded the problem by mobbing her as she tried to board the jet. After an airport skycap breached security by escorting Abdul and a companion to the plane, without going through security, all passengers had to be “reverse screened” because of the security breach.
