Jakalope Celebrate ‘Things That Go Jump in The Night’ Release

Jakalope checked in with fans on their blog at MySpace (@jakalope) on Tuesday (October 26), talking about the release of their new album, the first since Katie B (now Katie Rox) left the pop group and was replaced by Chrystal Leigh. They tell readers:

Hey everyone,

Today is such an exciting, amazing and awesome day. If you haven’t seen Chrystal’s vlog yet that updated everyone on what’s been happening with us lately, here’s a bit of a summary.

It’s October 26th today. A big day for everyone in Jakalopia. Our latest CD, “Things That Go Jump in The Night” came out at today on iTunes and in stores! We’re so excited to share our vision with you. It’s been a long time coming.

Jakalope Sign With 604 Records

Jakalope checked in with fans on their blog at MySpace (@jakalope) on Thursday (February 25), announcing that they’ve landed a deal with Chad Kroeger’s label to release the follow-up to 2006’s ‘Born 4’. They write:

I am so proud to announce our new home! 604 Records here in Vancouver! As well, we are now being managed by Simkin Artist Management! This is an amazing relationship that is going to take Jakalope to a new level! World, WATCH OUT! We’re back!!! Thanks 604 and Jonathan Simkin for making this happen!!!

Jakalope Hit The Studio Soon

Dave “Rave” Ogilvie of Jakalope checked in with fans on the Canadian industrial pop group’s blog at MySpace (@jakalope) on Monday (February 2) with an update on their upcoming third album. Dave writes:

The end is near! We hit the studio Feb.15 - Mar. 15 to finish tracking the CD. Then all the pressure is on me to mix like I have never mixed before. We have 30+ plus tracks to choose from so I will be looking for some help from all members of JAKALOPIA!!

Jakalope Busy Working On New Album

Jakalope checked in with their MySpace friends on Wednesday (June 11) with the following bulletin:

Hey Everyone!

Just thought we’d keep you posted on whats been happening in the Jakolope camp these days. Right now we’re all busy writing and working on the new album which we’ll hopefully have ready for you guys sometime soon! We also just did a photoshoot and we’ve posted some of those up on our myspace for you to take a look at.

We’ll have some more new stuff for you guys soon so keep checking back!
