Scouting For Girls Thank Fans After Birmingham In-Store Support

Scouting for Girls vocalist Roy Stride checked in with fans on their blog at MySpace (@scoutingforgirls) on Tuesday (August 5) with the following message:

Hi everyone.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who came to the signing today in Birmingham. You were an awesome crowd, and it was a pleasure to play for you. Thank you for coming and singing along.

Sorry we didn’t get a chance to chat very long at the signing. The security guys are pretty strict, and keep the queue moving to make sure everyone gets a chance to get their CD signed. The presents were amazing too! (especially the bamboo/biggles/bracelets/balloons and glasses with woobly eyes!!!)

The manager of the shop spoke to us after and said that it was one of the best sessions he had done, and how amazing, friendly and up for it our crowd is. Although we often get comments from venue managers to say that we have one of the best happiest and friendliest crowds… so thank you again.

Were back in Brum at the academy at the end of the tour, and nearby(ish) were at coventry a couple of days later. Cant wait to see you again…

Its not about you is creeping up the charts this week… so thanks again. It was nice to hear that you are enjoying the brand new b sides too (make do and mend on iTunes EP and The best Summer Yet)

See you in Manchester tomorrow :)

Scouting For Girls Rehearsing For Bigger Tour

Scouting for Girls frontman Roy Stride checked in with fans on the British pop rock group’s blog at MySpace (@scoutingforgirls) on Saturday (March 22). Stride writes: “We’re currently doing production rehearsals in London, and I’m hiding away from Pete’s drum soundcheck in a little portacabin! Six months ago, rehearsals meant the three of us in a little smelly practice studio. This rehearsal has over 15 people involved in a massive film studio, as we try out the new PA, lights, and new instruments. We’ve put together what I hope is an amazing live show… I’m so excited about the tour. I feel like a kid on Xmas eve.”
