Daniel Johnson Offers Advice On Lip Gloss, Nail Polish And Fake Lashes

Oh So Cosmo caught up with Daniel Johnson from the Canadian pop rock band STEREOS, who offered his tips on how girls should wear lip gloss, nail polish and fake lashes. “I love women. They’re beautiful creatures naturally,” Daniel explained. “Sometimes us guys wish you’d just leave it at that though, but since you won’t, here’s some tips from us guys.”

As for those tips, the tattooed bassist had this to say about lip gloss, “I’m in favor of it. I just find it gets messy. As a guy, I don’t want to kiss a girl and have sparkly, shiny lips. If you’re gonna be kissing a guy, I would recommend you wear some lip balm or something.”

Next up was nail polish, with Daniel opining, “I’m not going to tell you to stay away from any colors except for neon. I think it looks ridiculous. French manicure looks really good. It’s kind of sexy. It’s simple. It’s understated. It looks like you’ve got it together.”

Wrapping up his advice was a tip on fake eyelashes. “I think they look great. They make your eyes pop. They make you beautiful,” Daniel said. “One tip, take them off before you go to sleep. If you don’t take them off and you wake up next to your girl with these eyelashes all over the place or beside you or whatever, it’s kind of frightening.”

Stereos Select Outfits At Joe Fresh

Pat Kordyback, Dan Johnson and Rob Chalifoux of Stereos stopped by Joe Fresh, and Etalk caught up with the Canadian pop trio to get their insight on Toronto Fashion Week and pick out outfits for their front row fashion show.

“We all have our own separate styles,” Dan said. “Pat is definitely going to wear something with a hood. He thinks that’s his trademark, and we’re trying our hardest not to make it his trademark. Rob probably is definitely going to wear something revealing.”

Miles Holmwood And Aaron Verdonk Depart Stereos

Stereos

Pat Kordyback, Daniel Johnson, Rob Chalifoux, Miles Holmwood and Aaron Verdonk of Stereos checked in with fans on their Facebook on March 12th to announce the departure of Miles and Aaron from the Canadian pop group. The remaining three members are now working on a follow-up to their 2010 album ‘Uncontrollable’. They write:

To all our amazing fans,

After a few of the best years of our lives, we have all mutually and amicably decided that we all need to make changes moving forward. Because of this, Aaron and Miles will no longer be members of Stereos. This was obviously not an easy decision to make but after weighing all possibilities for countless different reasons, we all believe this is in everyone’s best interest.

There is also some good news. The 3 of us remaining have officially started working on what we believe is by far our best album yet. We’re already hard at work putting it together and we can honestly say we’ve never felt more motivated and excited since we began this band in Pat’s basement 6 years ago. We can’t wait to get back on the road to bring it to you all again soon.

We want to reiterate that all 5 of us are still very much friends and can’t thank you all enough for your love and support past, present and future.

Much love,

Robb, Pat, Daniel, Aaron, and Miles.

Pat Kordyback On The Importance Of Music Education

Pat Kordyback of Stereos recorded a public service announcement for MusiCounts, which advocates getting music education back in the classroom.

“I took music class when I was in junior high, and I went into it not really knowing anything about how to read music or anything,” the lead vocalist of the Canadian pop rock band explained. “I picked up a trumpet and I was so bad at it and I was really embarrassed. My teacher at the time, Mr. Bole, was a really nice guy and he got me on a different instrument, the clarinet actually, and it just became a lot more fun for me because I could actually play that. People stopped making fun of me in band class, so I think music education is important because it keeps those teachers helping kids out.”
