Richard Jones On The Feeling’s Career Highlight Glastonbury Show
The Feeling bassist Richard Jones did a Q&A at the British pop rock band’s official web site, where he was asked about their Glastonbury Festival show. “It was amazing. A real career highlight,” Jones said. “It’s up there with Isle of Wight last year and when we first did V Festival. Everyone knows that Dan used to go to Glastonbury when he was very young, but I went as a teenager as well and it was always a dream of mine to play there. But the idea of actually playing on the Pyramid Stage was beyond a dream - it was like playing Wembley Stadium. And it totally lived up to it. People had their hands in the air, clapping above their heads, right to the band of the field. It was an amazing sight.” Read more.

The Feeling ‘Basically Done’ With Second Album
Richard Jones of The Feeling did a Q&A on the band’s official web site, where the bassist and husband to Sophie Ellis Bextor revealed the band’s sophomore album is pretty much complete. “Basically done, but it’s self-produced and we’re anal, so we will keep tweaking until they literally force it off us,” he said. “The deadline is supposed to be in two or three weeks, so we’ll keep going ’til then. We’ve even started a couple of new songs.” Jones also revealed they haven’t come up with an album title, despite a claim on their Wikipedia entry that it was to be named ‘The Moon’. Q&A With The Feeling Keyboardist
The Feeling keyboardist Ciaran Jeremiah took part in a Q&A for the group’s official web site on Wednesday (August 22). Asked how the new album is coming on, he responded, “It’s going well. We’re mainly doing vocals at the moment. We got a lot of the louder stuff out of the way, which was the plan while we had the space in the big house. So it’s more vocals, harmonies and the odd keyboard part now.” As for whether he’s happy with what’s being done, Ciaran said, “Yeah. There’s still a lot of work to be done, but I am. With one song we’d recorded the drums, bass, keyboard and guitars, but Dan [Gillespie Sells] decided the verse wasn’t really what he wanted, so he re-wrote it with different chords, different melody, different lyrics and everything.” Read more.
The Feeling Frontman Talks About Opening For Aerosmith
The Feeling’s blog features a Q&A with frontman Dan Gillespie Sells, who talked about the reaction to the band when they opened for Aerosmith in Dublin the other night. “They hated us in the beginning, but then I think we won them over, like we do,” he said. “But I think the more camp side of what we do made them feel embarrassed because they’re so macho.” Asked if they got a chance to meet the veteran rockers, Dan responded, “No. Rich already met Steve Tyler at the Brits, though. But they came in in their special cars a few minutes before they were on the stage and then as soon as they came off the stage they were straight in their cars and off. That’s exactly how I’m going to do it when I get as big as them. We have actually done it at a gig before, but only because we had to get a flight. So it was straight off the stage and onto a bus. That’s the rock ‘n’ roll way to do it.” Read more.
