February 25, 2005 - ‘American Idol’ host Ryan Seacrest phoned into the Elvis Duran and the Z Morning Zoo on Z-100 in New York City on Thursday. The morning show was relaying to Seacrest that many were upset about how cruel Wednesday’s elimination show seemed to be. Ryan also commented on the new season’s contestants being older and more competitive, and that the finalists this year are more talented than ever.
