Ashley Tisdale Performs For AOL Sessions
Ashley Tisdale stopped by AOL Sessions to record intimate performances of ‘It’s Alright, It’s OK’, ‘Hair’, ‘Hot Mess’, ‘Masquerade’, ‘Tell Me Lies’, and ‘What If’, all off her new album ‘Guilty Pleasure’.
The ‘Aliens In The Attic’ star also answered questions about her sophomore release, meeting Michael Jackson and staying in touch with the rest of the ‘High School Musical’ cast.
“He was one of the most amazing people I have ever met,” Tisdale said about meeting the King of Pop. “I loved him growing up and watched all of his music videos. The minute that he came into the room it was just like insane. It’s weird but there was this glow around him. It’s like it would take your breath away. It wasj ust amazing to meet him. I thought it was the coolest day of my life. He was really nice, really nice guy. His kids were really great and it’s probably a moment I will always remember for the rest of my life.”
Asked how this album differs from her debut, Tisdale said, “Well the first album for me was just me learning about myself as an artist, and where I was. It was very new to me, it was an experience where I had never recorded an album before. So ‘Guilty Pleasure’ for me, I knew exactly where I wanted to go going into it. I just really wanted it to be a reflection of who I am and where I am in my life right now. It’s a little be edgier, a little bit more mature. I’m 23 turning 24. I think it’s a different side of me that people haven’t seen. Everyone really knows me as Sharpay from ‘High School Musical’, but it’s a different side of Ashley that you haven’t really seen before.”
Video of the performances and interview at AOL.com have since been removed.
