Cher No Fan Of Illegal Music Downloaders

NY Rock caught up with for a Q&A and asked the veteran singer what she felt about illegal music sharing on the Internet. “I think it’s so bad. I think it’s so wrong,” Cher said. “It’s stealing. That’s all there is to it. And it’s stealing from the people who can’t afford it. The people who wrote the songs. And technicians. It’s like dominoes. You know, where you take work out of the people who are packing and printing, and shipping, and all that.” Read more.

Cher said her Farwell Tour is now going on till next year. Now that’s a real successful tour not like Mariah’s bomb tour that got stuck in little theatres. Cher might have a longer career ahead of her than Britney and Christina. It wouldn’t be a shock if Cher it still raking in hits while Britney and Christina join Mariah in has-been land.

Now THIS is a TRUE account of music piracy….it’s not stealing from the artists themselves….it’s stealing from everyone BEHIND THE SCENES! The artist doesn’t get hardly ANYTHING off album sales; their money comes from touring. But the people who DO make money off the sales…THEY loose out! I just gained respect for Cher for being so honest and NOT trying to play the victim in all of this like most of the stars!

Bull*****, people like technicians get paid a set wage and don’t lose out. The only people that “lose” money from downloading are the record companies who take money from the artists anyway, because theyre greedy f**kers.

  4. BadAss4Backstreet says:

actually, they DO lose out! If you wanna argue with Cher on this, be my guest though’, ‘it just seems rather egotistical of you to sit back and try and correct someone who’s been in the biz for like 112 years….ok, so not REALLY that long, but like 40 years…..

then don’t make CDs 15 dollars. if you only want one song of a CD that’s too rare to find on iTunes, people have no choice but to download. you’re not gonna buy a 16 dollar CD for one song.

  6. youhavenoidea says:

holy crap you’re a moron. just because she’s old doesn’t mean she knows sh*t bout nething’, ‘she and like the rest of these dumb pop *****s get told what they want to hear… and egotistical? how exactly? f**k I hope I didn’t upset cher.

  7. meteora says:

what do they expect? nobody wants to spend 16 dollars on a cd, of course I’d rather burn it for free. Why don’t they just make cds cheaper instead of complaining about it. When is this old goat Cher just retires already? Nobody wants to hear her crap anymore. Her place is with Aritha Franklin and Barbara Streisand. God, she’s so *****ing ancient

  8. gunsnfr says:

Only SOME cds are $10, definitely not most. “STOP BEING CHEAP” I don’t want to waste my money on cds I won’t want to listen to after 1 or 2 songs and then throw away. I would have wasted my money and created more garbage.

  9. weebongo says:

However old Cher is her career is as strong as ever while Christina’s is floundering’, ‘Her tour has grossed much more in 2003 than Christina’s has.

  10. urbaniz3d says:

I’m so sure dumbass. cds don’t cost 10 dollars. and still, that’s too much to pay if you only want one song off the cd. unless you want to give me 10 dollars every time I want to buy a CD, I suggest you go ***** off.
