Christina Perri On The Return Of Real Music And Females

Christina Perri visited Walmart Soundcheck for a Risers interview, where the ‘Jar of Hearts’ singer talked about her favorite album, YouTube success, fan support and the rise of female singer songwriters. “There’s a return to real music and there’s a return to females too,” Perri said in the interview. “I’m watching it happen and I’m very proud to be female, which for a long time it’s like rocker bands and the dudes, and it’s a dude business. So all of the sudden girls who really sing, who really write their music and play their instruments, it’s just this assurgency. I think it’s epic.
