Katharine McPhee Discusses Her ‘Smash’ Character Karen Cartwright
Katharine McPhee talked about her character Karen Cartwright in the new NBC musical drama ‘Smash’. “My character Karen is just one of those pieces (of putting together a Broadway musical)”, the ‘American Idol’ alum explained. “One of the important pieces of course because she’s one of the actresses that’s auditioning for the show. What I love about the show is you get so many different perspectives. You get the writers’ perspective, the producer’s perspective, the choreographer, the directors and of course the actors’ perspective. It’s definitely a show about the making of a show.” ‘Smash’ is set to premiere on Monday, February 6, 2012.
