Although Kylie Minogue is still wearing the scarves in public, the 37-year-old who is battling back from a breast cancer scare now takes them off in private to reveal her new look - short, straight and slightly spiky hair. “Kylie is not at all vain and understood why she lost her hair - but that has made its return all the sweeter,” a friend tells The Sunday Mirror. “She had been told it might grow back curlier, as happens with some patients after chemo, so she’s delighted that it’s so straight. She’s been through so much it feels a breath of fresh air to think about things like her hair again.”

March 5, 2006 - News of the World reports Kylie Minogue plans a December comeback with a performance in front of 20,000 adoring fans at the Sydney Superdrome. “There’s been a lot of talk about a comeback at the Commonwealth Games this month,” a source close to the singer revealed. “But that’s absolute rubbish, even though they are being held in her home city of Melbourne. She would have loved to do the opening ceremony, but while her health is definitely restoring itself, it’s a little too soon for her to take the stage again.”
