Moby Responds To Criticism After Celine Dion Diss
Apparently Moby got himself into hot water by dissing Celine Dion for singing ‘God Bless America’ at the Super Bowl last Sunday. He writes on Moby.com under the heading ‘MoBitch’: “Oh no… apparently I’ve offended Celine Dion’s fans by expressing my stunned dismay at her bizarre Super-Bowl performance. I’ve got to learn to be more diplomatic and stop pissing off public figures and their fans. What’s my problem? Why can’t I pick on people who are less deserving of it? I have nothing against Celine Dion. It’s just that I don’t appreciate her music and I thought that her Super Bowl performance was less than compelling. That’s just my opinion. I like the Satanicide version of ‘My Heart Will Go On’ very much, for what it’s worth. And a few years ago I had a ‘slow dance’ party here in Manhattan and we played a few Celine Dion tracks (especially that one from ‘Beauty and the Beast’. Watching drunk New Yorkers grope each other while listening to Celine Dion was really sweet, actually.). But in the future I will refrain from expressing my opinion regarding the art and/or antics of other public figures.”
