No More Releases For O-Town… Ever?

According to O-TownFanPage.net, J Records has confirmed that O-Town will not be releasing any songs, CD’s, or merchandise in the future…ever. It is not confirmed if they have parted ways with the record label or not. But this raises the question - is O-Town officially breaking up? That is not known at this time, but they five guys are still on hiatus and taking time for themselves. In fact, Jacob Underwood just celebrated his first wedding aniversary with his wife Janie and Dan Miller is currently engaged. One thing is for sure though, the guys will always remain friends, band or no band.
yay…its my article! hehe. Anyhow, I think its so sad my O-Town will never have any more songs released! They had some really good songs left on “02”…like “from the damage” and “suddenly”. I think those songs really have a Jason Mraz/Maroon 5 kinda feel. if freaking J Records would have given it a chance..I’m sure it could’ve become a hit! Damn that j records…grrr. mm, I hope my guys stick around a little longer, at least for the fans. that makes me sad! ::sniffles:: =(
^ditto. so I guess the only 2 surviving groups from the “99 boyband era” are NSYNC and BSB.
I met all of O-Town. I wandered backstage during one of their concerts. literally…WANDERED backstage.
I can’t say that this surprises me or that I’m bummed out about it. They were a made for TV band, and we all knew that as soon as the craze ended, they’d be one of the first to go. I’m sorry for their fans that they won’t get anymore music, but I’m sorry…..they were the cheapest Backstreet knock off of all. I MYSELF am glad to see them out!
Jive sucks! O-Town rocks!! I love you guys!! I met them too! They came off their bus for me! They are so great!
That’s so sad! Well they can get another record label! screw J Records! and god you guys are so harsh, y can’t you just respect them? just because they sing music that you don’t like doesn’t mean you should go bash on them. they have talent ok? so you guys should shut up. and stop saying that they are copying off BSB or whatever. they just wanna make music!! their songs rock! hopefully they make a comeback.
I think the general public goes too far with this “rumor”. The only people that should have say in this is O-Town, themselves. And what do they (J) know?? O-Town can sign with another record label. To talk trash about O-Town fans is one thing, but to actually speak for O-Town is a whole different thing. As far as I’m concerned, if J Records dropped O-Town, they should have absolutely no say in this what-so-ever. Also, I wanted to say to the one or two people that are bashing O-Town and calling them a “rip-off” of BSB, have you ever heard this phrase: “Treat others the way you would want to be treated.” ?? In this case, treat someone else’s favorite band the way you would want your favorite band to be treated. I’ll leave it at that.
It’s true…J Records has dropped O-Town because go over the jrecords.com, and search artists web sites, you won’t find our O-Guys anymore listed there. :( I just began crying when I saw this. All we can do now is stick together and pray they’ll find a new label. I honestly don’t know what I’d do without them. I love them so much. :(
